***** ASSA Outstanding Service Award ***** Presented for the first time at the 2008 ASSA National during the Annual Meeting to the ASSA Historian, WMSSC Member & Past President Pat Ferrell
Criteria for this award, as established by the ASSA is: This award is to recognize those persons who have served the ASSA in a diligent and extraordinary manner, but who do not currently qualify for other recognitions or Life Membership (It would not prevent those persons from future recommendation for Life Membership). No more than two (2) persons a year shall be eligible to receive this award, and it will not necessarily be awarded annually unless there are truly highly qualified persons to be recognizes. (Sitting Board members are NOT eligible recipients for this award.) Nominee must be an ASSA member for a minimum of ten (10) years. Nominee must show dedicated service and contribution to the ASSA, as demonstrated by extraordinary performance of a job or task for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years.
